Each year many people go through medical therapy to combat addiction. Unfortunately, patients often relapse after being released from therapy.
We want to help these people maintain progress after their treatment has concluded. For this, we created Campfire, an app assisting patients in their everyday lives. Being alone post-therapy can negatively affect your progress, so our app helps you stay in touch with others who are going through the same struggles. Campfire app gives everyone an anonymous outlet for their emotions to share their feelings safely and freely. Our app is designed to become a part of a person's daily routine, giving them a sense of community. After leaving therapy, it's hard to avoid reverting to your old habits, but with the Campfire app, patients can support each other in overcoming their battles with addiction.
Our team created an app with an interface unlike any other. We crafted it around patients' needs, adding playful and friendly details, making it the most calming and joyful experience. Sensory features and unique avatars for each member enhance the user experience. For example, when you turn on the app, its visuals unfold a hike leading to the Campfire sight. The scene is set up around sunset and perfectly embodies the peace and tranquility all of us tend to feel when looking at the colorful evening sky. And while sitting around an animated campfire, the user listens to the crackling sounds of fire in the background and talks to fellow patients.
What can be more serene than a familiar Campfire, especially when sitting in a circle around a fire and sharing thoughts, has been a part of the human experience for thousands of years. Today, the Campfire app has brought this experience into digital space, turning this ritual into an everyday possibility.
